O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth who
art everywhere and fillest all things. Treasury of Blessings,
and Giver of Life: Come and abide in us, and cleanse us from
every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.

RESPONSE: Holy God! Holy Mighty! Holy Immortal! Have mercy on us.
(Three times)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
now and for ever, and from all Ages to all Ages. Amen.

O most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, cleanse us
from our sins. O Master, pardon our transgressions. O Holy One,
visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.

	Lord have mercy. (Three times)

now and for ever, and from all Ages to all Ages. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy
Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not
into temptation. but deliver us from evil.

PRIEST: For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and for ever,
and from all Ages to all Ages. Amen.

RESPONSE: Amen. Having arisen from sleep, we fall down before Thee,
O Blessed One, and sing to Thee, O Mighty One, the angelic hymn:
Holy! Holy! Holy! art Thou, O God; through the Theotokos. have mercy
    on us.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Do Thou. O Lord. who hast raised me from my bed and from
sleep, enlighten my mind and heart, and open my lips that I may
    praise thee. O Holy Trinity:  Holy!  Holy!  Holy!  art Thou, O God;
through the Theotokos. have mercy on us.

Now and for ever, and from all Ages to all Ages. Amen.
The Judge will come suddenly and the acts of every man will
be revealed; but with fear we cry in the middle of the night:
Holy! Holy! Holy! art Thou, O God: through the Theotokos, have
    mercy on us.

Lord have mercy (Twelve times)

Having arisen from sleep, I give thanks to Thee, O Holy
Trinity, that, through Thy great goodness and long suffering,
Thou didst not become angry with me, an idler and a sinner,
neither hast Thou Destroyed me with my iniquities; but didst,
as usual, exercise Thy loving-kindness to man and hast raised
me who was thoughtlessly lying on my bed, that I may be on my
morning watch and glorify Thy power. Enlighten my mind's eyes
also, open my lips that I may derive instruction from Thy words.
understand Thy commandments, do Thy will, hymn Thee in heartfelt
confession and glorify Thine all-holy Name of the Father, and
of the Son. and of the Holy Spirit, now and for ever, and from all
    Ages to all Ages. Amen.

Glory to Thee, O King. God Almighty, Who, through Thy divine
and gracious providence, hast vouchsafed that I, an unworthy
sinner, should rise from my sleep and obtain entrance into Thy
holy house. Receive the voice of my prayer, O Lord, as Thou
dost receive the voice of Thy holy and heavenly Powers, and
grant that, through my defiled lips, but from pure heart and
humble spirit, I may offer praise to Thee, so that, with the
bright Lamp of my soul, I too may become a companion of the
wise virgins and glorify Thee, O God the Word, who art glorified
in the Father and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

			     THE NICENE CREED

I believe in one God. Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and
earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God. begotten
of the Father before all ages, Light of Light. true God of true
God, begotten, not made, of the same being with the Father, by
Whom all things were made; Who for us and for our salvation
came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and
of the Virgin Mary, and became man. He was crucified for our sake
under Pontius Pilate, and He suffered, and was buried, and on the
third day He arose according to the Scriptures, and ascended into
heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father, and He shall
come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, and His
    kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit. the Lord. the Giver of Life, Who
Proceeds from the Father, Who together with the Father and Son is
worshipped and glorified, Who spoke through the Prophets.

In One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge
one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I await the resurrection
of the dead, and the eternal life to come. Amen.

			PRAYER OF ST. BASIL

We bless Thee, O Heavenly God and Lord of mercy, Whose deeds
for us are both great and infinite, glorious and wonderful, and
whose number cannot be counted; Who hast given us sleep for the
repose of our infirmity and rest to comfort our weary flesh. We
give thanks to Thee that Thou hast not destroyed us by our
iniquities, but has again shown Thy Loving kindness to man, and
while we were lying in despair, Thou didst raise us up that we
might glorify Thy power. Wherefore we beseech Thy boundless
mercy; enlighten the eyes of our mind, and raise up our spirit
from the heavy sleep of idleness, open our lips and fill our
mouths with Thy praise, that we may faithfully hymn and confess
Thee, O God, Who art everywhere and glorified by all, the Father
Who is from everlasting, together with Thine Only begotten Son
and Thine All-holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, now and for
ever, and from all Ages to all Ages. Amen.

Remember. O Lord, our fathers and brothers who have fallen
asleep in the hope of resurrection unto life eternal, and all
those who have ended this life in piety and faith: pardon all
their transgressions which they have committed. knowingly or
unknowingly, in word or deed or thought, and establish them
in a place of brightness, a place of refreshment, a place of
repose. where all sickness, sighing, and sorrow have fled away.
and wherein from eternity the light of Thy countenance shines
and gladdens all Thy saints. Grant unto them and unto us Thy
kingdom, the participation of Thine endless and blissful life.
For thou art the life, the resurrection, and the peace of Thy
departed servants, O Christ our God, and to Thee we send up
glory; together with the Father Who is from everlasting, and
The All-holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, now and for ever,
