The Holy Fathers of Orthodoxy

Throughout the centuries, there has been a lineage of Priests who have served the Church. Not a one of them, while still serving in the Church militant, achieved holiness. When they entered into the Kingdom of God, God made them Holy and they become part of His Mighty Prayer Warriors, a force that we can tap into in our daily prayer cycles.

Serving in the Holy Priesthood is an awesome responsibility and some of the features of this ministry are:

to serve the people, both male and female alike with dignity, equality, honor, respect, and love.
to pray for all peoples and all nations
to fearlessly defend the true faith at all levels of persecution
to serve the Divine Liturgies and to synergistically work with God to dispense the Holy Sacraments
to be an effective shepherd
to teach the people that Adam and Eve share equal guilt for their part in Original Sin
to teach the people that Christ and the Theotokos are the New Adam and Eve
to humbly imitate the Life and Teachings of Christ as a proto-example to all the Faithful
to be an inspiration to the people and to dynamize their Faith in Christ Jesus

The priest is not perfect, yet becoming perfect by God's assistance. The Sacraments are Holy because they flow from the Holy Spirit of God and not through a mortal human being.

Thus, the people are energized and made ultimately ready for their birth into the Kingdom of Heaven by the diligent service of the interactions of clergy and the people under God's Personal Authority.
