A Cute, But Wholly Untrue Account of Creation
Life Explained
On the first day God created the dog. God said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said, "That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I'll give you back the other ten."
So God agreed.
On the second day God created the monkey. God said, "Entertain people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I will give you a life span of twenty years.
The monkey said, "Monkey tricks for twenty years? I don't think so. The dog gave you back ten, so that's what I'll do too, okay?"
And God agreed..
On the third day, God created the cow. "You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years."
The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty and I'll give back the other forty."
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created man both male and female. God said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. I'll give you twenty years."
Man, both male and female, said, "What? Only twenty years! Tell you what, I'll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back and the ten the monkey gave back and the ten the dog gave back. That makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You've got a deal."
So that is why the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy ourselves, for the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family, for the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren, and for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you.
It may be cute
...and we can certainly laugh at the how the story seems to ring true and should find it funny, but...
the fact is that the above story is wholly untrue
...and based on a false notion or assumption. So, beware of false teachers who spread a little amount of untruth peppered in with some of the truth encapsulated in a cute package!

From this reading, we are reminded...
that God created the Heaven and the Earth
...and everything that God had made was totally perfect and everything was very good.
God endowed mankind (both male and female) with the gift of free will.
Sin entered the world by the mis-use of our gift of free will.
Sin begat death and disease in mankind (both male and female)
Death and disease spread to the animals
...and all of creation groaneth and travaileth
God loves His Creation
God restores His Creation by Sending His Only Begotten Son a.k.a. the WORD (MOUTH) OF THE TRIUNE GOD-HEAD (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) into the world.
God's GREAT Act of Love AND PERFECTION conquers death through the Death and Resurrection of His Son, the ONLY SINLESS ONE - Who is the LAMB OF GOD.
Our sins (which are many) are forgiven by our ACTIVE FAITH expressed in summation at the third chapter of the Gospel of John at the sixteenth verse. (e.g. The only evidence of our FAITH is the continual flowing of good works, voluntarily made without any expectation of reward (Epistle of St. James) and our continual obedience to God's Commandments summed pretty well by His two commandments:
- 1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
- 2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.)
